BerryBuzz extends your default Blackberry’s alert system by giving you numerous ways to customize the LED colors, create repeating audible reminders (60 seconds to 60 minutes) for many types of alerts, and actually get your BlackBerry to vibrate while it is ringing!
For the money, BerryBuzz is a highly useful application. The custom alerts save time, which is always a plus. It might be a matter of seconds, but it can extend further than that. For instance, if I’m working on a project and get an email to my for-fun email address which isn’t particularly fun (a bill, invoice, complaint, or an otherwise nasty email), I can ignore it while I forge ahead with my current work. If I had seen the email I probably would have read it, thus affecting my mood. But because it’s in a non-important email address, and because I can see that before even looking at the subject line, I can continue until the time is appropriate to read it.
Also, the vibrate plus ring function is something I’ve been wanting for a long time. Not that I miss a lot of calls because of it, but it’s something I’m used to. Three vibrations and then a ring just doesn’t cut it. Vibrations while ringing ensures that I can hear/feel the call even if my Berry is encased and shoved in my front pocket.

ZDNet associate editor, Andrew Nusca, posted a hands-on review of the Motorola CLIQ. Powered by Google Android, this QWERTY touchscreen smartphone is slated to join the T-Mobile family this fall.
Here are a few excerpts:
Hands-on with the CLIQ
My take: Motorola’s CLIQ is a game-changing device for T-Mobile.
To me, the CLIQ is a power user’s dream phone: it combines touch and keyboard for choice of input; it offers Microsoft Exchange support as well as built-in Google services integration; it’s got robust support for images, audio and video; it offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G GSM connectivity.
The CLIQ isn’t a revolutionary device the way that Apple’s iPhone was, but that’s part of its appeal. A clever refinement of the Android platform, the Motoblur-powered CLIQ manages to pair the robust feature set of a BlackBerry with the smooth visual interface of an iPhone.
Together, that adds up to a compelling smartphone that could, if not poach users from other carriers, please T-Mobile customers immensely.
The post includes a video where Christopher Conrad Edwards, a senior manager in Motorola’s consumer experience design department, runs through the main features of the CLIQ (Note: It is a little fuzzy).

As part of a promotion celebrating Oprah Winfrey’s 24th year on the air, T-Moblie is taking $100 off the cost of the Google Android-based myTouch 3G. That brings the final cost down to $99.99 with a two-year contract.
The promo ends Sept. 24, so those interested need to act quickly. New customers who want to get their hands on the device can type in a special code–“KICKOFF24″– when buying online.
On September 8, T-Mobile played a prominent role during the kickoff party for Season 24 of “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” Check out the video with the Black Eye Peas singing “I Gotta Feeling” with what T-Mobile describes as a surprise flash mob of dancers on Chicago’s Michigan Avenue.
Of course, Oprah was dancing on stage while waving a myTouch 3G. That video has had over 647K views, which is great brand awareness for T-Mobile, myTouch 3G and Google Android.
